Lisbon, March 20th, 2019 - The fifth edition of the Dancefloor Festival, to be held at the Altice Forum Braga, on July 26th and 27th, confirms Ran-D in its line up. Being one of the most irreverent and solid producers of his generation, Ran-D will be landing in Portugal to enrich this Dancefloor’s edition parade of stars.
Ran-D is one of the most thorough personalities in the realm of the Hard Dance scene, he has traveled the world performing in front of huge audiences and taking his music to countries such as Holland, Australia, Chile, Italy, Spain, United States, Sweden, Czech Republic, Poland, Switzerland and China, adding now Portugal’s stamp to his vast set of check ins.
"My name is hardstyle", a line from the track "Hurricane", perfectly epitomizes his quest, besides counting more than 12 000 000 views on Youtube. Carrying a charismatic and heartfelt sound, he’s always capable of setting the perfect party mood, inviting the whole audience to embrace this atmosphere. He was present at Decibel Outdoor, Intents Festival, Mysteryland, Q-BASE, Reverze, Qlimax, EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, CRAFT Festival, memorable performances wrapped up in emotion and irreverence.
Passionate, perfectionist and dedicated, Randy "Ran-D" Wieland confesses to share the same passion for music as his audience, and that's what really motivates him. As an artist, he believes that this approach gives him a deeper understanding on what hardstyle truly is. He writes, produces and sings his own material, always aiming to overcome himself in every new work. He shone at the Defqon.1 festival, with the song "No Guts, No Glory" (with Skits Vicious) and at the Intents Festival, with "The Hunt" (with E-Life).
In 2011, Ran-D joined Adaro, giving birth to the famous Dutch duo, Gunz for Hire. The duo became notorious for their vibrant live performances. Their popularity is linked to the anthem "Bella Ciao," the iconic piece they've used as a source of inspiration; since then, they reached increasingly high levels of success. At the Decibel Outdoor 2016, he electrified the critics with "United", featuring LXCPR, imprinting his trademark in the electronic dance music scene.
In 2017, the year he joined Q-dance for his own X-Qlusive event, Ran-D achieved what any Hardstyle artist may dream of. The event became a celebrated and memorable evening, witnessing Ran-D's heartfelt connection with his fans and stage mates. Entitled "We Rule The Night," his latest musical project aims to change the way one looks at the Hardstyle scene.
