Lisbon, March 19th 2019 – Dancefloor festival, which takes place at the Altice Forum Braga on July 26th and 27th, announces another heavyweight act: the duo Yellow Claw. Jim Aasgier and Nizzle, are the two compelling artistic souls behind a wide mix of musical genres, incorporating elements of hip hop, dubstep, big room house, hardstyle and moombahton.
Their success is celebrated by music lovers from around the world, having even performed in renowned festivals such as Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, Coachella, Bonnaroo, EDC Las Vegas and Jack Ü’s New Year’s Eve at the Madison Square Garden.
Since 2010, after organizing a party at one of the most notorious nightclubs in Amsterdam - Jimmy Woo -, Yellow Claw have been quietly growing towards dance music supremacy. In 2012 and 2013, they released a series of very successful hit singles, true sensations of Dutch and Belgian parties: "Krokobil", "Nooit Meer Slapen", "Thunder" and "Last Night Ever". Their music videos went viral, achieving over four million views on YouTube. In that same period, Yellow Claw took the stage of several Dutch festivals such as DirtyDutch Festival, Sneakerz Festival, Latin Village Festival and Solar Festival.
Their debut album, “Blood For Mercy”, was launched in 2015 and reached #1 in Billboard’s Heat Seekers Chart and Top/Dance Electronic Albums Chart, even receiving an Edison Award — the Dutch Grammy. Amongst other hits, their success single “In My Room” (with Ty Dolla $ign, Tyga, & DJ Mustard), obtained over 104 million Spotify streams. The album reflected their penchant for studio synergy as they welcomed the likes of Pasha T, Ty Dolla $ign, Tiesto, Flux Pavilion, DJ Mustard and many others into their creative ecosystem.
In late 2016, Yellow Claw revealed two collaborations with Yade Lauren: “Invitation” and “Love & War.” “Invitation”, a powerful production from the duo, 19 million streams on Spotify, while “Love & War” amassed 14,6 million in less than a month and landed on Huffington Post’s “Top 10 Workout Songs” in January 2017. “Los Amsterdam” – the duo’s second album – left its imprint on the electronic music scene. EIn 2018, the album “New Blood” comes to light and 2019 started with the release of “Danger Days", two masterpieces that are surely making the festival’s attendees very anxious for the month of July.
After the amazing 2018 edition, Dancefloor comes to its fifth edition promising to have the best electronic music line-up in the country, which already lists D-Block & S-TE-FAN, DJ Deorro and now, Yellow Claw.
